Google has announced revised commitments to its privacy sandbox in the UK, including the appointment of an independent Monitoring Trustee, more extensive testing and further clarity on its commitment not to use first-party personal data for targeting and measurement on non-Google websites. The company says that, if accepted by the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority, the changes will be implemented globally.
Amazon has been fined €1.1 billion after antitrust investigators found the company had given unfair preference to sellers who ship goods through Amazon’s logistic services. Amazon described the decision and fine as ‘unfair and disproportionate’ and said it would challenge it.
